Poison taster here, wish me luck. Poison taster back (Ch. 87) so far the story is good it takes its time and doesn't rush into things which I like I recommend it and for academy novels impo it's one of the top 5 on this website.

It’s overall a good novel, but too low paced to my taste, 130+ chapters in and the time elapsed in the story is like 1 month?
Its pretty good overall, but I have to say it leans pretty heavily into "slice of life" occasionally.
As of 259 the pacing of the story is enjoyable and doesnt feel rushed. There are moment where you will get a giggle out of something going on I am sure. If your going to pass due to the whole harem thing, as of currently its teams of women for missions the split afterwards with an exception of a small core group of 2 beasts and one I hope will become a girlfriend.
As of page 259 (most recent atp) i HIGHLY recommend the novel. The story is good and fairly engaging. There are editorial mistakes in the chapters that can trip you up at first - some sentences were formatted wrong and inside others / repeating - but it was rare and not really intrusive. I will say i dont think it will blow anyone out of the water but its very entertaining and the humor imo is actually really good. (im copy pasting this as a review - if you see this twice thats why)
Small and final review for the people interested in starting to read this novel. 150 chapters into the novel: Story, is really good I can't complain about it, but still there are certain aspects that I would love to change. 1st MC I think its too trusty of power figures. He revealed a bit too easy all his abilities, take into consideration that this will help him grow stronger and that he actually has no reason to doubt these people yet. But, still even though this makes the reader fell like they are really on MC side this is not 100% confirmed. Story has the potential to turn dark really fast and has the basis to do it, currently is a bit light in that department, so don't expect MC vs the world. Characters are a strong point in this novel, they feel that they have their own stories and their lives do not revolve around the MC. Worldbuilding has a huge potential. Pacing is really slow, this is the kind of novel where you want to read monthly with a huge amount of chapters.
